The Animal House

A new and different kind of rescue.

"A "No-Kill"small animal rescue specializing in cats, kittens, and small animals.
No"warehousing" of animals. All our animals awaiting adoption live in foster homes as part of the family.
Educating the public about companion animal over-population and responsible pet ownership.
Therapy animals and educational seminars available for service organizations, schools, day cares, etc.
Working in partnership with rescue-friendly shelters to reduce the rate of space- and health-related euthanasia.
Partnering with other responsible rescues to provide more available spaces for animals in need of foster or medical care.

The Animal House was formed to provide temporary foster homes for companion animals and to find and secure responsible permanent homes for them. The Animal House has a "no-kill" policy, meaning that no animal accepted by The Animal House shall be euthanized for any reason other than the alleviation of suffering as a result of life-threatening or chronically painful illness or injury.

The Animal House is also dedicated to increasing public awareness with regard to companion animal over-population and the responsible care and practices of companion animal ownership.

The Animal House Directors and Foster Parents are dedicated to making the best matches for homeless pets. Our cage-free foster homes allow us to get to know each animal on a broader level than rescues who "warehouse" their animals in cages or barns. We know each of our pets and can tell you all about their quirks, their likes and dislikes, their awesome qualities and their special needs.

Please check us out on Facebook and become a Fan of The Animal House page. You can keep up to date on specific fosters and get advance notice of special events. If you find a foster that tugs at your heartstrings, but are not in a position to adopt, please consider sponsoring that pet. Any sponsorship donation goes toward the care, feeding, and cost of the animal's adoption, reducing the adoption amount and increasing the chances of the pet finding a new home.
